FreeAlberta

This father/son blog is dedicated to the furtherance of the independence movement in Alberta. It has been made abundantly clear that Alberta is the victim of tyranny by the majority. There is no indication that this will ever change. It is time to leave, to go our separate ways. In this blog I will focus on issues relating to Alberta Independence such as why it is necessary, what an independent Alberta might look like and how we can go about forging our independence.

Link Byfield has been going to town!

Link Byfield is a columnist for the Calgary Sun, he is also a Senator Elect (in Waiting). He's the chairman of the Citizens Centre for Freedom and Democracy

Byfield has been going to town on the separation issue, he isn't convinced that separation is our only option at this point, but he makes some very strong points about our relationship with Ottawa. He seems to think that we might be able to convince Ottawa (or at least Canadians in general) to hear our grievances and repair Confederation. I am all for attempting this. I am convinced that doing so will prove that our position within the country is no more than that of a milk cow colony. The steps that Byfield is proposing seem to me to be stepping stones along the path to separation. If they are able to fix the issues we have with Ottawa, I will rejoice with the rest of Albertans. If not, let's draw up our Declaration of Independence.

you are, more accurately, a mere pretender to a senate seat.
